conceptual photography: a type of photography that illustrates an idea
stock photography: a supply of photographs, which are often licensed for specific uses

microstock photography: what defines as a micro stock photography is that they 1.) source images almost exclusively via the internet, 2.) do so from a wider range of photographers than the traditional stock agencies, and 3.) sell their images at a very low rate

Week 13 Vocabulary: GIF, zoopraxiscope, kinetoscope, chronophotography
GIF: a lossless format for image files that supports both animated and static images
zoopraxiscope: invented by British photographer, Eadweard Muybridge, was a primitive version of later motion picture devices which worked by sequencing of still photographs in rapid succession
kinetoscope: an early motion-picture device in which the images were viewed through a peephole
chronophotogaphy: an antique photographic technique that captures movement in several frames of print
